First, thanks so much for visiting. I hope that you find plenty of images that you enjoy. I really don't have much to say about my style, but in upcoming posts, I'll give you the backstory on some of them. For the sake of getting the page up and running, I limited it to just a few galleries, but new galleries and images will be added regularly and if you want to make sure that you know when that happens, contact me. If there are certain themes or types of subjects you would like to see, let me know and I'll search around my files for them. Also, please share the site with your friends and family. I know they will appreciate it.
As this is the first post, let me answer some of the most common questions I'm asked;
What kind of camera and lenses do you use? A variety of Canons - my current favorite is the Canon 5D Mark II. No only do I like the name, it's an extraordinary piece of equipment. Almost all of my lenses are Canon glass, but I have a Sigma 50-500 that I also just love to use.
Do you make adjustments to the pictures on a computer? Absolutely. The programs I use, primarily Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge and onOne's Perfect Photo Suite 8 are necessary for me to use to transforming electrical digital files into beautiful fine art prints - and also for use in other applications.
Now that we have this out of the way…I acknowledge that the camera, lenses, programs, etc. are the essential tools every photographer must have to achieve their photographic vision. Ultimately, however, that vision comes from the mind's eye.
